What’s this about?

Insurance and Care NSW (icare) is focussed on helping injured people get back to work and improving the management of their worker's compensation claims. 

icare services workers compensation claims either directly (for the most severely injured) and indirectly through claims service providers such as EML, QBE, Allianz and GIO.

We are reviewing the existing model for the management of workers compensation claims in NSW and seeking feedback from stakeholders and the community.

Your feedback is needed on a set of draft principles to help improve the way worker's compensation claims are managed in NSW. These principles have been developed following an extensive review of customer feedback and academic literature. They are designed to promote return to work and recovery from injury wherever possible.

The Claims Management Principles have been designed to align with and support the State Insurance Regulatory Authority’s Claims Management Principles and Customer Service Conduct Principles.
