Blacktown Hospital Car Park

The Blacktown Car Parking project aimed to ensure car parking is accessible to patients, visitors and staff attending the hospital. The project was developed in conjunction with the master planning, to ensure the future planning of the Blacktown Campus is in line with the broader precinct growth.

Project information

Construction works associated with the hospital expansion and the multi-storey car park resulted in a temporary loss of parking at the Blacktown Campus. 

During construction, works associated with significant temporary staff parking (for approximately 216 vehicles) were secured within close proximity to the hospital at the Blacktown Bowling Club.

Scope

The project included: 

• Multi-storey car park comprising more than 600 parking spaces that is centrally located to meet the needs of both staff and visitors.
• Major at-grade car park close to the two main entries of the new hospital - the western entrance and the eastern entrance - to provide conveniently located parking for persons of limited mobility.
