Early planning for a future Blue Mountains Hospital redevelopment
The lead design team is progressing with early planning for a future Blue Mountains Hospital redevelopment, which includes site investigations on the Blue Mountains Hospital campus and commencing discussions with local health staff.
The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District has also submitted a draft Clinical Services Plan (CSP) to the NSW Ministry of Health for review. The draft CSP identifies the future health care needs of the Blue Mountains region. The CSP has been informed by consultations with local clinicians, health staff and the community and by hospital data, population demographics and projections for the Blue Mountain local government areas.
A future Blue Mountains Hospital redevelopment will ensure communities in the region have access to a wide range of quality healthcare in a central location for generations to come.
