The Nelune Comprehensive Cancer Centre will provide best-practice facilities and services in the treatment of people with cancer. The centre co-locates ambulatory, outpatient and radiotherapy services (currently spread across 8 sites) into one centralised building.
Project information
The Scientia Clinical Research facility provides a world class facility for a range of services, including clinical trials in cancer. Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network expansion will provide research space as well as adolescent, genetics and clinical support services.
The $114 million allocated for this project included:
- $46.2 million from the NSW Government
- $3.5 million from the Commonwealth Government,
- $11 million from the University of NSW
- $17.8 million from the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation and Prince of Wales Cancer Services fundraising efforts
- $5.7 million in health program grants and radiotherapy oncology special purpose and trust funds (to provide funding for replacement linear accelerators)
- $29.8 million from the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network with the support of Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation ($20 million) and NSW Government ($9.5 million).
