Health Infrastructure delivered the new Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute, which is transforming the region into a world-class precinct for health, research, innovation and education.
Project information
Located at Gosford Hospital, the Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute (CCCSRI) houses state-of-the-art learning areas including simulation wards and laboratories that will be home to the future of healthcare. The 6-storey facility includes 207 rooms and breakout areas to support contemporary learning methods.
It ensures the next generation of doctors and nurses will benefit from a world-class learning environment, with access to leading healthcare professionals who are researching under the same roof.
The CCCSRI will help progress the Central Coast as a centre of excellence in education, providing local people more opportunity to gain an exceptional education close to home. The NSW Government is investing $20 million to develop the Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute.

Scope
The project included:
- 7 floors of education, research, office and retail space,
- 207 rooms and breakout areas including:
- nine lecture and seminar rooms
- 15 learning suites, consultation, training and teaching rooms
- a co-staffed Local Health District and University library
- 6 problem-based learning areas
- 3 simulation wards
- 1 simulation laboratory
- 4 research laboratories
- Refurbishment of student teaching and lecture theatre spaces in the Gosford Hospital conference centre.
