The Gloucester Ambulance Station is part of Stage 2 of the NSW Government's Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program.
The RAIR program is the single largest investment in regional NSW Ambulance's almost 130-year history, with 54 new, rebuilt or upgraded ambulance stations being delivered in rural and regional NSW, to support the delivery of enhanced out-of-hospital emergency medical care to the community.
The NSW Government is investing $232 million to deliver the Rural Ambulance Reconfiguration (RAIR) Stages 1 and 2 programs.

Benefits
The project will:
- optimise paramedic response times and support critical lifesaving care
- provide a better working environment for local paramedics
- better meet the current and future demand for emergency medical care in Gloucester.
Scope
Station refurbishment works included:
- a new plant room to accommodate up to 4 ambulance vehicles
- new roller shutters
- new staff amenities
- the refurbishment of internal spaces.
