Planning is underway to deliver a new ambulance station on Kosciuszko Road to the west of the Snowy Mountains Grammar School.
An artist's impression has been released for the project marking a significant milestone in delivering a vital health service that will serve Jindabyne and the Snowy Mountains community.
The new Jindabyne Ambulance Station is the final of 54 new, rebuilt or upgraded ambulance stations being delivered in rural and regional NSW as part of the $232 million RAIR program to support the delivery of enhanced out-of-hospital emergency medical care to the community.
Benefits
The project will:
- optimise paramedic response times and support critical lifesaving care
- provide a better working environment for local paramedics
- better meet the current and future demand for emergency medical care in Jindabyne.
Scope
The new Jindabyne station will feature:
- six internal parking bays
- a wash bay
- administration and office areas
- staff amenities to assist with staff rest and wellbeing
- staff parking
- logistics and storage areas.
Status
The project is in the final stages of planning and design. Next steps for the project include planning approval and appointing a builder.
Construction will commence in mid 2026, following planning approval and appointment of a builder.
