The Lake Cathie Ambulance Station is part of Stage 2 of the NSW Government’s Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR) program.
Project information
The RAIR program is the single largest investment in regional NSW Ambulance’s almost 130-year history, with 54 new, rebuilt or upgraded ambulance stations being delivered in rural and regional NSW, to support the delivery of enhanced out-of-hospital emergency medical care to the community.
The NSW Government is investing $232 million to deliver the Rural Ambulance Reconfiguration (RAIR) Stages 1 and 2 programs.

- Optimise paramedic response times and support critical lifesaving care.
- Provide a better working environment for local paramedics.
- Better meet the current and future demand for emergency medical care in Lake Cathie.
Scope
The first station for Lake Cathie will feature internal parking for up to four emergency ambulance vehicles, relief accommodation for paramedics, an internal wash bay, administration and office areas, logistics and storage, and staff parking.
