Status: Completed
The capital budget for this project was $397 million, funded by the NSW Government. The redevelopment commenced construction in 2008 and was completed in December 2012. Liverpool Hospital is now the largest tertiary facility in NSW.
Project information
The redevelopment included:
- a new 9-storey hospital
- major refurbishment of the existing Clinical Services Building
- an elevated road and separate pedestrian bridge over the railway that will link the east and west campuses
- car parking
- childcare centre extension and refurbishment
- local road upgrades.
Scope
The project delivered:
- 855 beds
- 23 operating rooms
- 60 intensive care beds
- major new ambulatory care centre
- diagnostic and treatment centre.
