The Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) at Westmead Hospital provides holistic, multidisciplinary specialist health care that is parent and infant-centred, family and carer inclusive, and culturally sensitive.

Health Infrastructure delivered a purpose-built 8-bed unit providing holistic, specialist multidisciplinary care for parents experiencing significant perinatal mental health problems.

The MBU at Westmead Hospital is part of the NSW Government's $700 million Statewide Mental Health Infrastructure Program (SWMHIP).
