The NSW Government committed $600 million to upgrade health facilities on the Northern Beaches including the new Northern Beaches Hospital at Frenchs Forest.

Project information

The Northern Beaches Hospital was completed and opened in late 2018. It is operated and maintained by Healthscope, providing services for both public and private patients.

Scope

The new hospital includes: 

  • Four hundred and eighty-eight beds
  • a 50-space Emergency Department and helipad
  • Fourteen operating theatres and 6 surgical suites
  • intensive and critical care units
  • inpatient mental health facilities
  • Car park with 1,400 car spaces. 

This project was delivered in partnership with Health Infrastructure and Northern Sydney Local Health District.
