Port Macquarie Base Hospital Helipad Relocation and Car Park

Project information

The new helipad for the Port Macquarie Hospital will provide patients with the most direct route to the hospital's Emergency Department and operating theatres while improving the experience and safety of patients, carers and staff. 

Health Infrastructure is working closely with the Mid North Coast Local Health District to plan the new helipad with minimum disruption to their existing operation. The car park is being constructed on the site of the existing helipad. 

Benefits

The project will: 

• replace the existing helipad to serve the community now and into the future
• deliver increased car park capacity at the Port Macquarie Hospital for patients, visitors and staff. 

Scope

The project includes: 

• relocation and construction of a new helipad on the hospital roof
• new car park constructed on the existing helipad site.
