Status: Completed

In the 2013-14 Budget the NSW Government committed $6.7 million to the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District to expand ambulatory care services at Shellharbour Hospital.

Project information

The Shellharbour Ambulatory Care Expansion project was part of a broader Shellharbour Hospital Redevelopment. The expansion of ambulatory care services in the Southern Illawarra is a key strategic service priority for the district. This project enabled better access to local services.

Scope

The project delivered:

additional consultation rooms
interview room and collection room
new multifunctional treatment room
multifunctional chronic and complex gymnasium for pulmonary rehabilitation, other chronic and complex conditions, and group antenatal classes
improved staff and patient amenities
additional car parking spaces.
