Planning is underway to deliver a new ambulance station at 7-11 Acacia Close, South Windsor.
An artist's impression for the project has been unveiled marking a significant milestone in delivering a vital health service which will serve communities across the Hawkesbury.
The new station will significantly enhance emergency capacity supporting paramedics to deliver timely and high-quality emergency and mobile medical care.
The station is one of 30 new ambulance stations being delivered across Sydney, the Central Coast, Hunter and Illawarra regions in the coming years.
Benefits
The project will:
- optimise paramedic response times and support critical lifesaving care
- provide a better working environment for local paramedics
- better meet the current and future demand for emergency medical care in South Windsor.
Scope
The new station will feature internal parking for emergency ambulance vehicles, a dedicated vehicle wash bay, a multipurpose area for paramedics, a gym, meeting and training rooms, administration areas, logistics and storage facilities, and on-site parking
Status
The project is in planning and design. The next steps for the project include design finalisation and planning approval for the new station in early 2026.
Construction is expected to begin on the new stations in 2026, following planning approval and appointment of building contractors.
The community will be kept informed as the project progresses.
