About the program
Log in to your account on Go4Fun Online and complete the sessions when it suits you.
Each week, you’ll have a phone call with your Go4Fun Online health coach to help your family work towards your health goals.
You can choose a time that works for you. Appointments are available from 9am to 9pm, Monday to Friday.
Go4Fun Online helps you understand why daily movement is important and gives you fun ideas for family activities.
You’ll set your own health goals and choose the activities you want to try.
Each week, your Go4Fun Online health coach will call to support you. They’ll share practical tips to help improve your family’s wellbeing and reach your goals.
Set and achieve your family health goals
Each week, your family will choose 2 or 3 small health goals to work on together. Your Go4Fun Online health coach will check in weekly to help you stay on track and reach your goals.
Earn tokens and rewards for participation
Your family earns tokens when you complete an online session or have a coaching call. The more sessions and calls you complete, the more tokens you earn.
At the end of the program, you can receive a reward voucher based on the tokens you’ve earned.
Tokens and rewards are a fun way to help kids stay engaged and learn about healthy habits.
To receive the reward voucher, your family must complete both the pre-program and post-program surveys.
From January 2026, In-person Go4Fun Online is changing to better meet the healthy lifestyle needs of families like yours. From early 2026, new, in-person family healthy lifestyle programs that link with Go4Fun Online will be available in areas near you.
Go4Fun Online is funded by the NSW Government under the NSW Healthy Eating Active Living Strategy 2022 to 2032.
The program is delivered on behalf of NSW Health by the Better Health Company.
Joining the program
You don’t need a referral for your child to join Go4Fun Online. Any eligible child in your family can take part in the program.
Health professionals can also refer families to Go4Fun Online if they choose.
If you live in NSW, you can register all eligible children in your family for Go4Fun.
At the bottom of the sign-up page, select Add another child to include more children. Keep adding until all eligible children are listed, then select Submit to complete your registration.
If you have any questions or need help joining, call 1800 780 900 or email contact@go4fun.com.au.
Go4Fun Online is a family-based program. Each child must take part with a parent or carer.
Ideally, this should be someone who lives with the child and helps with food planning, meal preparation and daily routines at home.
Foster carers, grandparents, aunts and uncles, older siblings, or any adult who cares for the child can take part as the parent or carer.
A parent or legal guardian must register the child and give consent for them to join the program.
There are many free programs and tools to help your family live a healthier lifestyle.
- Healthy, easy recipes - explore nutritious, family-friendly meals.
- Get Healthy Service - a free phone and online coaching program for people aged 16 and over in NSW. Qualified health coaches provide personalised support to eat well, stay active and improve wellbeing. They also offer tools and advice to help women stay healthy during pregnancy and after birth.
- Aboriginal Knockout Health Challenge - a free program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to come together with Mob, learn about healthy eating and enjoy an active lifestyle.
- Active and Creative Kids vouchers - eligible families can apply for $50 vouchers from the NSW Government to help pay for sport, recreational, creative or cultural activities through Service NSW.
If you or your child need extra support, talk to your doctor or another health professional.

Measuring your child’s height and weight
It’s important to measure your child’s height and weight to make sure they are growing healthily.
When you register and take part in Go4Fun Online, you’ll be asked to provide these measurements. This helps the team understand your child’s growth and provide the best support.
If you need to measure your child’s height and weight at home, follow these steps.
How to measure your child’s weight
- Place the scales on a hard surface, such as tiles or wood. Avoid using carpet. If possible, use a digital scale.
- Remove shoes and heavy clothing such as jackets or thick jumpers.
- Ask your child to stand with both feet in the centre of the scale.
- Record their weight to the nearest 0.1 kilogram (or to the nearest half kilogram if not using digital scales).
- You only need to measure your child’s weight every 3 months.
- If you don’t have scales at home, you can visit your local pharmacy to use theirs.
How to measure your child’s height
- Choose a flat, hard floor without carpet and a straight wall.
- Remove shoes, socks, bulky clothing and hair accessories.
- Ask your child to stand straight with their back against the wall. Their feet should be flat, heels touching the wall, and eyes facing forward.
- Place a pencil or book horizontally on top of their head.
- Make a small mark where the pencil or book meets the wall (remember to wipe it off later).
- Use a tape measure to measure from the mark down to the floor.
- Record the height to the nearest 0.1 centimetre.
Program eligibility and support
Children who are under a healthy weight (below the 5th Body Mass Index (BMI) percentile for their age) may not be eligible.
If you have questions or concerns about your child’s growth, talk to your GP or another healthcare provider. They can check your child’s growth and offer advice to support their health and development.
If your child needs other types of support, such as help with learning, behaviour, language or other needs, tell us during your registration call.
We’ll do our best to provide support and make sure your family has a positive experience in the program.
During the program
After you register, a member of the Go4Fun Online team will call to confirm your details and provide more information about the program.
This helps make sure Go4Fun Online is suitable for your child and supports your family’s needs.
You don’t need a Facebook account to take part in Go4Fun Online.
If you do have a Facebook account, you can join a private group for Go4Fun Online families. It’s a safe space to share stories, ask questions and exchange tips with others in the program.
To join the Go4Fun Online community on Facebook, send a request to join the group.
A Go4Fun Online health coach will check that you are part of the program before approving your request.
You can also ask your Go4Fun Online health coach to send you an invitation to join the group.
You can find the Go4Fun Online Facebook Group Guidelines in the Files section of the Facebook group. You can also ask for a copy by calling 1800 780 900 or emailing contact@go4fun.com.au.
