Get Healthy Service – Elizabeth's Story

Operator: Welcome to the Get Healthy Service. How can I help you today?

Woman: I need some help with my weight.

Operator: We can definitely help you with that. Would we be able to get your current weight?

Woman: I weigh 87 kilos.

Operator: And how do you rate your overall health?

Woman: I eat a lot of junk food. You know, some days I just don’t want to get out of bed. I can’t even make it down to the post box. I really feel like I need some help.

Over about six months, I lost six kilos, but it’s changed my life. I can now go and get the mail, which was something I couldn’t do before. I can walk a lot more than about 50 metres now.

Nothing seemed to fit me properly, so I saw the ad on TV and rang them up. It’s quite thrilling when you can do your trousers up, and then when you sit down, they start to fall off you.

There’s no fancy shakes or anything like that. It was just a matter of changing high-fat foods for low-fat foods, eating more vegetables and fruit.

When you get to a point in life where things don’t seem to be working right, you’ve got to try things to make them better.

I think the Get Healthy Service is good because she’s more mobile and a lot healthier. It’s done her the world of good.

It’s made me move, made me lose weight, and I’m a lot better person for it.
