Training and support
Training information and materials to support early childhood and education service educators, directors, cooks and families on how to implement the Munch & Move program.
Munch & Move Resource Manual
The Munch & Move Resource Manual – Birth to Five Years (2017) has all the information you need about the program. It includes:
- key program messages and why they matter
- how directors, managers and educators can promote them at your centre
- learning experiences and activities for children
- advice to support quality service delivery
- templates and guidance to help create service policies
- resources that can be shared with families
Staff Development Kit for ECECs
The Staff Development Kit helps all ECEC staff, including managers and directors, educators and cooks and chefs to bring the program to life in your service.
Use the kit to empower your team and help children establish healthy habits. The kit:
- supports your service in meeting National Quality Standard’s Standard 2.1 ‘Each child’s health and physical activity is supported and promoted’;
- builds staff knowledge of the Australian dietary guidelines and Australian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines for children
- provides practical tools to encourage healthy eating and physical activity practices in your centre.
Menu planning
The Caring for Children guide provides practical, evidence-based healthy eating and menu planning advice for early childhood services.
If you need help to use the guide, contact your local Munch & Move support officer.
Local support and training opportunities
