This International Nurses Day, the vital contributions of nurses across Justice Health NSW are being recognised as they continue to improve long term health outcomes for patients in correctional settings.

Forty-three new graduate nurses have started at Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (Justice Health NSW), providing a significant boost to health services in NSW youth justice centres, correctional centres, and at the Forensic Hospital in Sydney.

People with lived experience of mental health challenges and experiences of the custodial and/or forensic mental health systems and their carers, are invited to express interest in joining the newly established Forensic Mental Health Lived Experience Advisory Group   (LEAG).

Justice Health NSW has published its  2025 Year in Review , showcasing the achievements of our staff and organisation in advancing our 10-year  Strategic Plan 2023-32  – Together for Healthier Tomorrows.

Patients living with mental illness within Sydney’s high-secure Forensic Hospital will have better access to essential clothing, toiletries and accessories, thanks to the establishment of a Keith’s Closet within the hospital grounds.
