Daily Visitor Arrangements At Balranald MPS Resume
Daily visitor arrangements for residents at Balranald MPS have resumed as of today (Friday, 1 October 2021) but with strict conditions.
The change has been implemented following the lifting of stay at home orders for Balranald LGA.
The conditions are:
All visitors to be screened at entry (temperature checked) and if anyone has COVID-19 or flu like symptoms, they will be denied entry to the facility;
One visit per day at a designated time. This is in order to manage any other requests for visits to residents;
Visitors to the health service must wear surgical face mask when visiting;
Visitors must provide proof of being fully COVID-19 and Flu vaccinated;
Visitors are not to interact with any of the other residents in the facility; and
The visit is to take place in resident's/patient's room only, not in any communal areas.
Some wards may have specific visitor arrangements, please call ahead to check. If you are sick or have flu-like symptoms, do not to come to the hospital, unless seeking treatment.
All visitors, whilst wearing a surgical face mask, must continue to maintain vigilance including physical distancing and hand hygiene whilst in the health service.
The MPS is happy to negotiate with each family for the daily visiting time that best suits the family and the resident
The public's patience and assistance in helping the health service maintain a safe environment during the COVID-19 pandemic is greatly appreciated. The pandemic is not over and we ask that everyone maintains their vigilance and follow all COVID-safe directions.
