Storage lockers for use by public at the Community Health Centre
Three large yellow storage lockers for use by the public have been installed at the Community Health Centre by Far West Local Health District.
The lockers are for use, in particular, by people who do not have housing or permanent accommodation and who do not have a place to store their belongings through the day.
'It is great to have these lockers installed and being able to offer a solution to the storage needs of people without housing on a short-term basis is a very positive thing,' said Far West LHD Manager of Consumer and Carer Engagement, Mental Health Drug and Alcohol, Chelsea Edwards.
The lockers have individual and changeable codes so that the person using the locker is the only one with access.
'The aim is that people can store blankets, clothes, sleeping bags through the day so that they don't have to carry them with them until needed,' said Mrs Edwards.
The lockers are located at the Community Health Centre, 2-4 Sulphide St, via the Crystal Lane access.
To access the lockers, contact the MERIT Office on +61 8 8088 7199.
If you are a business or service working with people without housing or permanent accommodation and would like to discuss the use of the lockers further, please contact Chelsea Edwards on +61 8 8080 1525 or Chelsea.Edwards1@health.nsw.gov.au">Chelsea.Edwards1@health.nsw.gov.au
