Justice Health NSW releases 2024 Year in Review
Justice Health NSW has published its 2024 Year in Review, showcasing the exceptional achievements and contributions of our staff and organisation in advancing our 10-year Strategic Plan 2023-32 – Together for Healthier Tomorrows.

Each year, Justice Health NSW staff care for over 30,000 patients in our settings through dedicated in-person and virtual multidisciplinary teams. Our healthcare services include primary, mental health and specialty care services.
Key highlights from the Year in Review include:
- expanding our footprint in local courts to divert people with mental illness away from the criminal justice system and into community-based treatment
- embedding drug and alcohol interventions for people on remand resulting in more timely and targeted health interventions for those in crisis
- being awarded a $500k Government grant to continue our world-leading research into improving health literacy in prisons
- delivering large-scale testing and vaccination programs to prevent and treat communicable diseases such as influenza and hepatitis C
- delivering our most successful and largest Health Care in Secure Settings conference to date.
