Entering equipment details for new electrical work
Information you’ll need to provide
Electrical supply details
Select Yes or No to indicate whether the work is connected to the electrical supply.

Equipment details
Select Add to add equipment details, a pop-up window will open.

To add equipment in the pop up window
- Select the equipment type from the drop-down list
- Enter the equipment rating, for example:
- 415 V, 63 A
- 500 V DC (solar array)
- 415 V, 3 phase
- 100 A
- Enter the number of items for that equipment type, for example:
- 2 circuits
- 1 main switch
- 4 GPO circuits
- Type a short description of the work, for example:
- Install 2 new lighting circuits to office tenancy.
- Replace main switch on level 1 distribution board.
- Install EV charger circuit to basement car park.
- Select Save to confirm your input. The equipment you've added will appear in the list.
- Repeat these steps to add additional equipment if required.

Editing equipment details
If you have entered incorrect details, you can edit equipment from the list.
Select the downward arrow next to the equipment item you want to change, then select Edit.

Update the details in the pop-up window and select Save.

Deleting equipment details
You can remove equipment that was added by mistake.
Select the downward arrow next to the equipment item you want to remove, then select Delete.

Select OK to permanently delete the selected item.

Additional details for metering work
If metering work is selected as the type of work being carried out, you must complete this section.
Please note that a separate CCEW is required for each meter.

Meter type
Select the advance meter type:
- Type 1
- Type 2
- Type 3
- Type 4
Meter service provider
Enter the meter service provider in the search box, or select one from the drop-down list.
Only providers with a Safety Management Plan approved by Building Commission NSW will appear in the list.
Metering system
Select the metering system:
- Network metering
- Embedded network
