How to register
Go to the login page and select the sign up option

Enter your details
The information you enter must match your licence records exactly (except for the email address)
- First name
- All middle names (only if shown on your licence)
- Last name
- Phone number
- Email (you can use an email address that’s different from the one on your licence).
- Your individual licence number or qualified supervisor licence number
- The state in which your licence is registered
- Address

Press the sign up button
Check your email
You’ll receive an email with instructions on how to set a password for your account. Look for an email from donotreply_BCNSW@customerservice.nsw.gov.au.
Set up your password
Your password must:
- be a minimum of 10 characters in length,
- not contain your account name or parts of your full name, and
- contain three (3) out the following four (4) categories for complexity:
- at least one number (0-9)
- at least one uppercase character (A-Z).
- at least one lowercase character (a-z).
- at least one special character (for example: !@#$%^^&*()-=`|\(){}[]:;"'<>,.?/).
Once your password is set, go to the login page and enter your licence number and password to log in.

Request your one-time passcode
As an important security feature, BCNSW eCert uses two-factor authentication every time you log in to help protect your account from unauthorised access.
Each time you log in, a one-time passcode will be sent to your registered email address.
Important notes:
- You’ll need to enter it within 10 minutes of receiving it.
- If your code has expired, you’ll see the 'Your code has expired' message with a resend code button.
- Press resend code button to receive a new passcode and try again.
Sometimes the one-time passcode email can take a moment to arrive. If you haven’t received it after 10 minutes, try again using the resend code option.

Enter your one-time passcode and select the next button
You will be logged into the portal and taken to the home page.
Entering your address
Using address search ensures your address is saved in the correct format for the portal. However, sometimes an address may not appear in the search so it will need to be entered manually.
- Start by typing the site address in the address search box
- Select the correct match from the drop-down list
- Check the details are correct, then select the save button to confirm

If no match appears in the address search drop-down list, select the enter address manually option.
- Enter the required fields, including street name and type, suburb, postcode and state. All required fields must be completed.
- Add extra details if needed (e.g. unit, apartment or level)
- Check the details are correct, then select the save button to confirm
