Entering details for fixed installation

Providing installation details

Type of fixed installation installed

Select the installation type from the options provided:

  • Industrial
  • Commercial
  • Domestic.

Type of gas installed

Choose the type of gas installed from the options provided:

  • Natural gas
  • LP gas (propane)
  • LP gas (brutane)
  • Other.

If you select Natural gas, enter the meter number when prompted.

Only select Other if the gas type is not listed, for example hydrogen or biogas. If selected, enter the gas type in the text field provided.

Location of where the work was carried out

Enter where the work was carried out, including the level or specific location within the building, for example, rear kitchen extension on restaurant premises.

Network operator or gas supplier details

Select the network operator or gas supplier from the drop-down list.

This is required when Natural gas is selected. If you select Other, enter the email address for the network operator or gas supplier.

Confirm gas leak check

Select whether a gas leak check was carried out. If applicable, enter the date the check was conducted. 

Adding appliance details

Record appliances included in the installation

On the Appliance details screen, select Add to begin. A pop-up window will appear.

Add an appliance

In the pop-up window, select the appliance type from the drop-down list. Scroll to view all available options.

Enter the quantity connected, then select Save. The appliance will appear in the list on the main screen.

Add additional appliances

Repeat this process for each additional appliance connected to the installation. The item code for each appliance will automatically populate based on your selection.

Edit or remove an appliance

If you need to edit or remove an appliance from the list, select the downward arrow next to the appliance and choose Edit or Delete.

Entering property details

Enter property owner details

Enter the property owner's name and email address.

If the owner does not have an email address, you can enter the email address of a trusted third party nominated by them, such as a family member or friend.

Add the installation site address

Enter the installation site address for the job site where the gasfitting work was carried out. Use address search where possible or enter the address manually if required.

Using the address search ensures your site address is saved in the correct format. However, sometimes an address may not appear in the search so it will need to be entered manually.

Using the address search option

  1. Start by typing the site address in the address search box.
  2. Select the correct match from the drop-down list.
  3. Once all details are entered, select Save and continue to proceed to next step.

Entering the site address manually

If no match appears in the address search drop-down list, select the Enter address manually option.

  1. Enter the required fields, including lot, plan type, plan number, street name, suburb and postcode. All required fields must be completed.

    The lot number and plan type (DP or SP) can be found on:

  2. Add extra details if needed (e.g. section, unit, apartment, street number or local government area.)
  3. Check the details are correct, then select Save and continue to confirm.
