Regulatory standards for gas installations

AS/NZS 5601:2022 and AS/NZS 1596:2014 are referenced in the Gas and Electricity (Consumer Safety) Regulation 2018 and are legally enforced for gas installations and appliances in NSW. 

Australian Standards are issued under licence from Standards Australia. Visit the Standards Australia website to purchase a copy of the standards.

Advisory notes
