Viewing compliance notices
Understand which notices are available in BCNSW eCert portal
BCNSW eCert portal only stores Written Direction Notices. It does not store:
- Penalty Infringement Notices (PINs)
- Rectification Orders
View a Written Direction Notice (WDN)
If a Building Commission NSW inspector issues you a Written Direction Notice, it will be sent to the email address recorded in your BCNSW eCert portal account. A copy will also appear in the Compliance notices tab.
- Select the Compliance Notices tab from the menu.
- Find the notices you want to view. Use the search bar or status filter to narrow the results.
- Select the WDN number to open the notice.
Make sure your email address is up to date so you receive any WDNs issued to you. Learn how to manage your contact information.
If you carry out work required under a WDN, you must submit a new Certificate of Compliance for that work.
