Screening tool for eligibility - assisted boarding houses
Potential residents must complete a screening tool assessment to evaluate whether their needs can be met in an assisted boarding house.
A person applying to live in an assisted boarding house must complete a screening tool assessment before they can live there.
This requirement comes from the Boarding Houses Regulation 2013.
The screening tool assesses:
- a person’s support needs
- their suitability to live in an assisted boarding house.
Read the screening tool assessment fact sheet to learn more.
Life Without Barriers conducts the screening tool assessments. They are valid for up to 6 months.
