Homes NSW guidelines for direct dealing
Initiating a pre-submission discussion with Homes NSW
Housing providers are encouraged to contact Homes NSW to organise an informal pre-submission discussion. This will confirm if the proposal is eligible and likely to meet the criteria for direct dealing under the Guidelines.
To arrange a pre-submission discussion, housing providers should:
- complete a direct dealing pre-submission form and
- Submit the form and any relevant attachments to directdealing@homes.nsw.gov.au
Based on your pre-submission form, Homes NSW will triage you to the appropriate business unit in Homes NSW, who will consider the information on your form and set up a meeting to discuss your proposal idea.
Please note:
- Proposals must result in an increase in the supply of non-market housing or a change in management of existing properties
- Proposals must meet all the assessment criteria in section 9 of the Homes NSW Guidelines for Direct Dealing
- All direct dealing pathways are open to registered CHP/ACHPs
- Meeting direct dealing criteria does not guarantee a proposal will be approved. The proposal will be comprehensively assessed against a range of criteria as outlined in the relevant assessment framework
- Assessing a direct deal proposal does not guarantee the project will be funded, even if it meets all the assessment criteria
- Submitting a direct deal proposal is entirely at the discretion of the proponent. It is expected that the proponent will meet all costs associated with submitting a proposal.
