Help is available for leaving social housing
If you currently live in social housing, help is available to you whether you are a community housing tenant or a public housing tenant. Additional help is available if you are experiencing domestic violence, if you are between 16-24 years old, if you are Aboriginal, or if you're a veteran.

You no longer qualify due to your income
If your income has changed and you no longer qualify for social housing, find programs that help you get started renting privately.
You have not met the terms of your lease
If you are leaving social housing because you have not met the terms of your lease, other types of assistance are still available to you.
You will not be able to live in your home for a long period of time
If you are entering long-term custody or a long-term rehabilitation program, there are multiple resources available to you once you're ready to return.
