Providing Homes NSW maintenance contractors access to your home
Homes NSW maintenance contractors will need access to your home for inspections, servicing or repairs.
Maintenance contractors
It's important to allow Homes NSW maintenance contractors into your home for inspections, servicing or repairs. Contractors will contact you in advance to arrange a suitable time.
Saturday access
Saturday is considered a workday for Homes NSW contractors. This means they may need access to your home to complete maintenance and repairs.
Scheduling repairs
When you request maintenance or repairs through the Maintenance Hub, we’ll let you know which contractor will be working on your home. The contractor will then contact you to set up an appointment.
Identification
All Homes NSW staff and maintenance contractors carry appropriate identification. Always ask to see identification before letting anyone into your home.
Property inspections
Homes NSW conducts property inspections to assess maintenance needs. You'll receive a letter notifying you before the inspection takes place.
The inspection usually takes about an hour. We prioritise maintenance based on need and develop a plan for your home.
If your property has already been inspected and you’re wondering about upcoming maintenance, contact the Maintenance Hub for updates.
