Living in your home – maintaining a successful tenancy
What you will need to keep in mind when living in your home to keep your tenancy going.
At Homes NSW we want to help you maintain a successful tenancy. Here are some important things to keep in mind.
Rent and water payments
Make sure your rent and water are always paid 2 weeks in advance. If you’re having trouble keeping up, talk to your Client Service Officer, they can discuss options with you.
Respecting your neighbours
Everyone has the right to enjoy a peaceful neighbourhood. Please be mindful of noise, pollution, antisocial behaviour, your pets, and how visitors behave.

Keep your home clean
It’s important to keep your home clean and tidy. This includes reporting any maintenance the property needs.
Your Client Service Officer will visit the property throughout the year, to check on how your tenancy is going and make sure the property is still clean, safe and habitable.
