Community Land Management Regulation

Topic: Policy

NSW Fair Trading is seeking feedback on the law that regulates community land management.

What's this about?

NSW Fair Trading is seeking submissions on the law that regulates community land management. The NSW Government is remaking the Community Land Management Regulation 2007, which will be automatically repealed on 1 September 2018.

There are three types of schemes under the community land laws – community, precinct and neighbourhood schemes. The regulation provides the administrative detail needed to ensure the effective operation of the Community Land Management Act.

Currently, it is intended that the regulation will be remade without any changes.

Following a major review of community schemes laws, a Community Schemes Law Reform position paper outlining proposed reforms was released. Once the reforms have been passed by the NSW Parliament, there will be a major review of the Community Land Management Regulation.

Submissions on this consultation are still welcome and will be considered during both this review and the next review of the regulation.

Have your say

Submit your feedback via email by 1 August 2018.
