EPA use of unmanned aircraft
What's this about?
The Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 specifically states that EPA authorised officers can use an unmanned vehicle, vessel or aircraft to carry out their functions.
The EPA has developed interim guidelines to outline the EPA’s approach to using unmanned aircraft, commonly referred to as drones. The interim guidelines are designed to strike the appropriate balance between safety, privacy and efficiency.
