Topic: Environment

National Parks and Wildlife Service is seeking public comments on the draft plan of management for Kemendok National Park.

What's this about?

Parks and reserves established under the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974 are required to have a plan of management.

The Kemendok National Park Draft Plan of Management includes information on important park values and provides directions for future management.

Important park values include:

  • geology, landscape and hydrology
  • native plants and animals
  • Aboriginal connections to country
  • historic heritage
  • visitor use
  • information and education.

At the end of the public exhibition period in October 2017, NPWS will comprehensively review all submissions, prepare a submissions report and make any necessary changes to the draft plan.
