Night work on Foreshore Road, Botany

Topic: Infrastructure

Roads and Maritime Services is inviting feedback on a night work schedule that would allow us to complete the project faster and minimise the disruption period.

What's this about?

Roads and Maritime Services is inviting your feedback on a night work schedule that would allow us to complete the project as quickly as possible to minimise the disruption period for residents, businesses, and road users. We have included a map to show the location of work.

The project involves:

  • carrying out utility investigations
  • removing and replacing asphalt
  • kerbs and guttering.

Road markings will be painted on Foreshore Road, between General Holmes Drive and Hale Street.

We propose working up to five nights a week for eight weeks, for a total of 40 shifts. Our work hours would be between 9pm and 5am from Sunday to Friday.

Noisier activities, such as saw-cutting, jack-hammering and breaking up concrete would be completed by midnight.

The alternative is working up to two nights a week, which would extend the project to 20 weeks. Our shift hours would be the same and we would still complete noisier activities by midnight.

 Have your say

There are two ways you can provide your feedback.

Have your say by 24 April 2017.
