What's this about?

Private native forestry (PNF) is the sustainable management of native forests on private property for timber production. PNF is a key resource for the NSW forest industry and an important land management option for landholders.

The Private Native Forestry Review seeks to balance the sustainable development of the private native timber and agricultural industries while recognising the environmental values of the private native forest estate.

The NSW Government is undertaking the Private Native Forestry Review and is seeking feedback on four PNF Codes of Practice for:

  • Northern NSW
  • Southern NSW
  • River Red Gum Forest
  • Cypress & Western Hardwood Forests.
