Review of the Road Transport Act 2013
What's this about?
In 2013, the NSW Government approved the amalgamation of road transport law into a single Act known as the Road Transport Act 2013. This decision delivered many benefits for the people of NSW, including a reduction in red tape and the removal of complexities in the legislation.
The NSW Government recognised that the consolidation of road transport law into a single Act will be more effective in enabling NSW road transport legislation to respond to future challenges arising from advances in technology.
The Road Transport Act 2013 is now due for statutory review to ensure that the legislation remains relevant and that the objectives are still valid.
