What’s this about?

The review of seclusion restraint and observation in NSW Health facilities is now underway.

The review team welcomes submissions from people with a mental illness, their families and carers, employees and organisations.

These submissions should relate to experiences of the use of seclusion, restraint and observation of people with a mental illness in NSW Health facilities.

Community consultations will be held during August and September in 10 locations across NSW:

  • Orange
  • Western Sydney
  • Wollongong
  • Lismore
  • Newcastle
  • Coffs Harbour
  • Sydney CBD
  • Wagga Wagga
  • Mascot
  • Queanbeyan. 

These consultations are for people who use mental health services, their families and friends and members of the community. They are an opportunity for people to share their story.
