Toorale Water Infrastructure Project

Topic: Environment

The Department of Planning Industry and Environment is seeking feedback on the Toorale Water Infrastructure Project – Phase 2 Review of Environmental Factors.

What's this about?

The Toorale Water Infrastructure Project is being undertaken to modify, remove or decommission existing water infrastructure on Toorale National Park and State Conservation Area to improve water flows for environmental purposes.

Phase 2 of the project proposes modifications to the structures on Boera, Booka and Homestead Dams to enable the improved environmental flow management and to reduce barriers to fish passage.

The Review of Environmental Factors considers the impacts of the proposed new structures and flow management arrangements on a range of social, environmental and cultural values on, around and downstream of Toorale.
