New Tweed Valley Hospital

Topic: Planning

The Department of Planning and Environment is seeking feedback on the concept proposal and planning controls for the new Tweed Valley Hospital.

What's this about?

On 13 June 2017, the NSW Government announced $534 million for a new major referral hospital that will be constructed on a greenfield site in the Tweed-Byron region.

The community is invited to give feedback on:

  • an Explanation of Intended Effect to rezone the selected hospital site
  • the concept development application and associated Stage 1 works for the new Tweed Valley Hospital.

The feedback will help the department better understand the opinions and concerns of the community, which will inform the assessment of the project.
