Walsh Bay Arts and Cultural Precinct

Topic: Infrastructure

A proposal by Infrastructure NSW for the refurbishment and rejuvenation of the Walsh Bay Arts and Cultural Precinct is on exhibition.

What’s this about?

The rejuvenation of the Walsh Bay Arts and Cultural Precinct into a fresh cultural and creative hub is a priority infrastructure project for the NSW Government.

The State Significant Development Application (SSDA) for the refurbishment of Pier 2/3 and Wharf 4/5 proposes a renewal of one of Sydney’s most iconic destinations, attracting some of the world’s most creative performances and events.

It includes creating new arts facilities and performance venues in Pier 2/3 and refurbishing facilities in Wharf 4/5.

Pier 2/3 is the last remaining undeveloped wharf in Sydney and is used for arts, cultural and creative purposes.
