What's this about?

The EPA Waste and Resource Recovery (WARR) Strategy 2014-21 sets targets for the diversion of waste from landfill, increasing from 63 per cent in 2014-15 to 75 per cent by 2021.

To achieve these targets significant investment is required to develop the infrastructure needed to process the increase in the volume of waste forecast to be generated across NSW.

This strategy has been developed to assist councils and waste industry participants to understand the expected increase in waste streams and to plan for sufficient infrastructure to process the projected volumes.
