Canine Court Companion Program
The Canine Court Companion Program provides therapy dogs at certain courthouses. Learn how they support victims of crime to ease the stress of attending court.
Therapy Dog Teams offer support in publicly accessible areas of a number of courthouses in NSW, including the foyer and safe room. Therapy Dog Teams may also receive special requests from police or court professionals to assist with people who are especially anxious, or who might benefit from spending time with a Therapy Dog.
Where the program operates
The program is currently operational at courthouses in:
- Burwood
- Campbelltown
- Gosford
- Goulburn
- Lismore
- Manly
- Nowra
- Orange
- Sutherland
- Taree
- Wagga Wagga.
