Victims registers in NSW
A victims register allows victims of crime the option to stay informed about changes to the status of an offender.

There are 3 victims registers in NSW.
Register for victims of adult offenders
Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) maintains the CSNSW Victims Register for victims of adult offenders who were found guilty of a crime and have been sentenced by the courts.
The CSNSW Victims Register can share certain information about the offender/s who are serving a sentence in NSW as a result of a criminal act against you.

Register for victims of forensic patients
Victims Services maintains the Specialist Victims Register for victims of forensic patients who were:
- found ‘act proven but not criminally responsible’ for an offence, or
- found ‘unfit not acquitted’ and given a limiting term at a special hearing.
Victims can receive information on certain changes about a forensic patient and their reviews before the Mental Health Review Tribunal.

Register for victims of youth offenders
Youth Justice maintains the Youth Justice Victims Register for victims of young offenders who were found guilty of a crime, have been sentenced by the courts and are currently in custody in a Youth Justice centre.
