To be eligible for up to 22 hours of free counselling, the missing person must be reported to the police and accepted as a missing persons case. You can then contact us to apply for counselling if you are:
- an immediate family member of a person who is missing from NSW (or who was last known to live there) and you currently live in Australia
- an immediate family member of a missing person who has been reported missing interstate or overseas, who usually lives in NSW and you currently live in NSW.
Families and friends of missing persons and service providers supporting those affected by a missing person can also get information and support through various stages of an investigation by email or over the phone.
