Buy Regional for Dad this Father's Day
Anyone stuck for ideas on how to celebrate Dad this year are being encouraged to buy their Father’s Day gifts from the NSW Government’s Buy Regional website to directly support businesses from the coast to the bush.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW Paul Toole said Buy Regional brings more than 800 businesses together, offering thousands of ideas for Dad and is an easy way to discover small businesses across the state.
“The creativity and uniqueness of our regional businesses and the wide variety of goods and services they offer is amazing, and there is no better place to search for something truly bespoke for Dad this Father’s Day than across regional NSW,” Mr Toole said.
“There’s still time to find the perfect gift, so jump on the Buy Regional website, check out the wide variety of goods and get your orders in today to avoid having to make a last minute dash to the shops on the days before 4 September.
Gavin Hughes and Karen Touchie established North of Eden gin in 2018; an artisan distillery on the pristine Far South Coast, in Stony Creek.
“Our recommendation for the perfect Father’s Day gift for the gin loving Dads out there would be our Oyster Shell Gin or book our Gin School experience for Dad to produce and enjoy his own bespoke bottle of gin,” Mr Hughes said.
“We are a tiny distillery using traditional methods, and you can bring your Dad to our cellar door and enjoy a gin tasting along with our fabulous cocktails or purchase our unique gins online and have them delivered to your door.”
The Original Beef Chief Jerky owner Robert Hall, based out of the historic town of Tocumwal in southern NSW, says he offers Aussie beef jerky that packs a punch.
“Our flagship mixed pack of jerky, featuring eight flavours ranging from mild to wild with some world first flavours, is an easy way to become the favourite child this Father’s Day,” Mr Hall said.
“We provide a huge variety of value packed real beef and biltong jerky available online, hats, beanies, stubbie coolers and aprons, and I’ve never met a disappointed Dad with an order from The Original Beef Chief.”
Director and Brewer of Central West NSW based Pioneer Brewing Co. Pete Gerber says he offers a huge range for Dads who prefer a cold craft beer.
“We are extremely humbled to say we grow the grains for our range of 24 beers onsite, and have it malted right here in the Central West, and I’m sure we have a beer to quench Dad’s thirst and our gift cards allow Dads to pick their own beers online,” Mr Gerber said.
