Data processing company awarded NSW Exporter of the Year
Technology company Nuix was named the NSW Exporter of the Year at the 2015 Premier’s NSW Export Awards hosted by the Export Council of Australia at the Star in Sydney tonight.
The Nuix Engine data processing platform was engineered in Australia and supports Nuix clients in more than 60 countries on issues relating to cybersecurity, insider threats and privacy.
“I am inspired by the diversity of the products and services our top exporters are selling into international markets,” Mr Baird said.
“Whether it’s cybersecurity, branded beef, or hi-tech components for the aerospace industry, the one element common to all is the talent and innovation of NSW businesses.”
A total of 20 export awards were presented across 12 industry categories and for Innovation, Emerging Exporter, Asian Exporter and regional NSW exporters.
Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres presented the Western Sydney Exporter award to Next Instruments, which supplies scientific instruments and provides an export platform for technologies developed by Australian universities, the CSIRO, and other companies.
“All of tonight’s winners strengthen the NSW Government’s ties with international markets and demonstrate that our success is linked to the businesses of the future – including professional services, ICT and advanced manufacturing,” Mr Ayres said.
An inaugural award for export businesses led by women was jointly awarded to Dee-Ann Prather, Managing Director of Down Under Enterprises International, which drives market awareness and adoption of pure Australian Tea Tree Oil; and Lynn Yeh, Managing Director of Homart Pharmaceuticals, which manufactures and exports quality Australian health supplements and skincare products.
