Kempsey families give cost of living service the thumbs up
Families in and around Kempsey have given the NSW Government’s Cost of Living appointment service the thumbs up, with more than $150,000 saved by over 500 households.
Minister for Customer Service Victor Dominello said the appointment service is a big win for local families, providing much needed hip pocket relief.
“We know that cost of living is a big issue facing Central Coast families, which is why we delivered this free, customer friendly service,” Mr Dominello said.
“There are more than 70 rebates and incentives available across Government and we’ve transformed Service NSW into a one-stop shop for household savings.
Member for Oxley Melinda Pavey said: “Booking an appointment is simple and easy, and you could walk away with extra money. The average saving so far is $550.”
Examples of rebates and savings include Energy Switch, $100 Active Kids and Creative Kids vouchers, CTP refunds, Pensioner Travel Vouchers and National Parks Concession Passes.
A Service NSW Cost of Living Specialist will be at Kempsey Library on Tuesday 23 July from 10.30am to 11.30am to talk about the initiative and how locals can save.
“I encourage as many people as possible to attend. You have nothing to lose and could walk away with a smile on your face,” Mrs Pavey said.
