Media statement regarding Jai Rowell
Jai Rowell has been a Member of Parliament since 2011 and a tireless worker for the people of Wollondilly.
He has also served the Government and the people of NSW in various capacities between 2013 and 2015, first as Deputy Whip, then Government Whip, and finally as Minister for Mental Health and Assistant Minister for Health.
As Minister for Mental Health he made a significant contribution, overseeing the introduction and implementation of the Living Well strategy — a once in a generation overhaul of mental health services delivery in NSW.
A passionate advocate for his local electorate, he has also ensured effective delivery of critical State Government services to his growing communities, particularly schools, hospitals and roads upgrades, and essential sewerage connections.
I know that Jai will continue to demonstrate this passion and strong record of delivery for the remainder of his term of office. He regularly raises issues impacting his community directly with me so that the Government can take appropriate action.
I wish Jai and his expanding family all the best for the future.
