One million reasons to celebrate active and creative kids
NSW families simply love the NSW Government’s $100 Active Kids and Creative Kids vouchers, with 1 million downloaded since the rebates went live.
Following on from the success of Active Kids, from 1 January 2019, families can now use Creative Kids vouchers for structured activities such as dancing and music lessons, languages, coding, drama and theatre, photography and graphic design.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Treasurer Dominic Perrottet joined junior cricketers in Beverly Hills today to remind families of how the two rebates can help them ease cost of living pressures.
“The new school year has started and these vouchers will help parents plan for their children’s activities, which can add to a household budget,” Ms Berejiklian said.
“These vouchers are not only helping take the pressure off families, they are also encouraging children to learn new skills and take part in fun extracurricular activities.
Mr Perrottet said: “These vouchers are helping to unlock the sporting and creative abilities of young people across the NSW.”
“Both vouchers have been made possible due to our strong economic management. We’ve balanced the books, slashed the debt and put the State back in pole position.”
“We know the costs of sporting and creative activities can sometimes bowl a family over, which is why we have delivered these hip pocket savings.”

Mr Perrottet said both programs were hugely successful, but urged people to make sure they did not just download the voucher and let it gather dust.
“If you fail to lodge them with your accredited provider by the end of the year they are valid for, they go to waste,” Mr Perrottet said.
“We know our kids want to be active and creative, but it’s up to the adults to make sure they make the best use of these great cost saving measures.”
These vouchers are among a raft of NSW Government initiatives helping to ease cost of living pressure for households. Others include cheaper Green Slips and refunds, free car registration for regular toll users and the FuelCheck app.
